We are currently updating our Community Service Guide and hope to have an updated guide in the near future.

Remote Connections – “The Living Experiences of COVID-19 and Disability in Bass Coast”.

Recently Gippsland Disability Advocacy hosted in excess of 60 people in Wonthaggi at the screening and launch of “The Living Experiences of COVID-19 and Disability in Bass Coast”. The concept was the brainchild of our Bass Coast Disability Advocate Kristin Nuske.

We subsequently applied and were fortunate enough to receive a grant from Bass Coast Shire Council via the COVID-19 Business and Community Resilience Grants Program which enabled Kristin’s vision to become a reality.

The purpose of the project was to ensure the voices and experiences of people with disabilities in Bass Coast were captured during COVID-19 and what better way to undertake this by engaging in short stories by people with disabilities in Bass Coast.

Our sincere thanks and appreciation to the Bass Coast individuals and families who were so willing to engage in the project and to Bass Coast Shire Council who felt our project was worthy in being supported by funding in what was a very competitive funding round.

We encourage you to get a cup of tea or coffee, sit back and relax whilst you watch 14 Bass Coast residents discuss their experiences over the next 50 minutes.
